UCP PORDENONE
The UCP of Pordenone, located within the SOC of General Surgery of Pordenone-Spilimbergo and in collaboration with the Surgery of Spilimbergo, represents a reference center for proctological, pelvic floor and colorectal pathology.
The coordinator of the UCP Dr. Andrea Braini is dedicated in particular to colorectal and proctological surgery with minimally invasive techniques, he is the referring surgeon for IBD surgery in Azienda Sanitaria Friuli Occidentale; national councilor of the SIUCP, teacher at the Italian School of proctology and pelvic floor of the SIC.
The Pordenone UCP has particular experience in the diagnosis and treatment of the following pathologies:
- Haemorrhoid prolapse: conservative interventions such as stapler prolassectomy, laser treatments (HeLP, HeLPexx), THD, in addition to traditional haemorrhoidectomy.
- Rectal prolapse: laparoscopic ventral rectopexy, Altmeier, Delorme.
- Perianal fistula: laser treatment (FiLaC), video-assisted treatment (VAAFT), LIFT, rectal flaps, biological pastes, plugs, stem cell implantation.
- Sinus pilonidalis: minimally invasive laser and video-assisted treatment (SiLaT, EPSIT).
- Faecal and urinary incontinence: sacral neuromodulation, bulking agents, sphincter plastics, rehabilitation treatments with bio feedback.
- Treatment of complex prolapse of the pelvic organs in a transversal multidisciplinary/multiprofessional team with Spilimbergo Hospital: mechanical prolapse surgery with stapler, laparoscopic ventral rectopexy, laparoscopic lateral suspension (POPs VLS), TPS, operations in combination with Gynecologists, pelvic floor rehabilitation.
- Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Hub Center of Friuli-Venezia Giulia within the PDTA of the Region with accredited IBD Unit: integrated treatment of perianal disease, laparoscopic intestinal resections, stricturoplasties, laparoscopic restorative proctocolectomy
- Treatment of pelvic endometriosis in a multidisciplinary setting with gynecologists: laparoscopic intestinal/rectal resections, shaving, discoid resections.
Diagnostic and outpatient activity:
- Proctology clinic at the Pordenone, Spilimbergo and San Vito al Tagliamento locations.
- Transrectal ultrasound diagnostics, HRA and manometry. Colpocystoenterodefecography at the Radiology of San Vito al Tagliamento.
- Integrated multidisciplinary clinic for Chronic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases at the Pordenone site.
- Urogynecology and Urodynamics clinics at the Pordenone headquarters.
- Surgical clinic for Endometriosis at the Pordenone headquarters.
- Pelvic floor rehabilitation clinic at the Pordenone and San Vito al Tagliamento locations.
- Endoscopic diagnostics at the Pordenone, San Vito al Tagliamento and Spilimbergo offices
