The Unitary Italian Society of Colon-Proctology-ETS (SIUCP-ETS) is a non-commercial and non-profit organization and it is a free, apolitical and non-denominational association with statute.
The Association pursues civic, solidarity and socially useful purposes through the continuous carrying out of activities of general interest pursuant to art. 5 of the Legislative Decree n.117 dated 3rd July 2017 and subsequent amendments and additions, mainly in favour of members and third parties, aimed at:
1) education, instruction and professional training, pursuant to n.53 law dated 28th March 2003, and subsequent amendments, as well as cultural activities of social interest with educational purposes;
2) university and post-university education;
3) scientific research of particular social interest;
4) health interventions and services
In particular, for the achievement of the intended purpose and with the intention to act in favour of the entire community, the Association aims to:
- to promote knowledge and research in the field of coloproctological diseases;
- to carry out activities of research, prevention, early diagnosis, medical, surgical and rehabilitative treatment, in compliance with the legislation concerning individual professions on healthcare;
- to carry out programs, events and scientific demonstrations for the training and updating of medical and non-medical personnel, following ECM regulations, with funding provided in compliance with the criteria and limits established by the National Commission for Continuing Education;
- to carry out activities of health information and education;
- to maintain a constant contact with the Ministry of Health, the regions, the Health Authorities and with the various qualified public and private institutions related to general surgery, colonproctology, urology, urogynecology and pelvic floor rehabilitation;
- to carry out an exchange of information with similar national and international organisations;
- to launch initiatives in the coloproctology discipline in order to improve the quality of life and any other initiative that may be attributed by laws and other regulatory sources;
- to contribute to development and dissemination of guidelines in the coloproctology field also in collaboration with the Agency for Regional Health Services (ASSR) and the F.I.S.M.;
- to commit in the realization of the institutional autonomy of the "Colonproctology" discipline;
- to publish its own Scientific Bulletin on the web where scientific papers are published and documented as well as the company guidelines;
- to create and periodically update a website with a specialist and public area;
- to adopt internal systems to verify the type and quality of carried out activities;
• to carry out any other different activity, so long as it is secondary and instrumental to those of general interest listed above, and to carry out, always in compliance with the relevant legislation, any act or contractual operation that is necessary or useful for the direct or indirect realization of the institutional purposes.
