The Proctological and Pelvic Floor Surgery Unit established by the City of Pavia Treatment Institute represents a local reference center for the treatment of colon-proctological and pelvic floor pathologies. Directed by Doctor Umberto Favetta, it is made up of high-profile specialists who have been operating for years in the sector of Ano-Rectal and Pelvic Diseases with excellent results.
UCP Pavia carries out daily outpatient activities for the diagnosis and treatment of Proctological Diseases and of the Female Pelvic Floor using innovative diagnostic instruments and techniques such as 3D Endocavitary and Perineal Ultrasound, HD Anorectal Manometry, Electrophysiological Study of the Anal Sphincters and the Floor Pelvic with Latency Determination of the N. Pudendes, the Defeco-MRI.
The surgical therapy adopted by the Operating Unit for each patient is based on the most recent minimally invasive surgical techniques which allow for a rapid recovery of health conditions and an almost immediate return to working life. The interventions are carried out both under the SSN regime and in solvency.
Among the non-invasive therapies made available by UCP Pavia, it is worth mentioning pelviperineal rehabilitation for the treatment of functional pathologies linked to the pelvic floor, especially in women, such as, for example, abdominal-pelvic dyssynergia, post-faecal and/or urinary incontinence. childbirth and chronic pelvic pain.
